Delta Clean Air works out of Boston cleaning air ducts and dryer vents, and the reviews largely back a shop built around getting in, doing the job, and leaving things tidy. Across 626 Google ratings it holds a 4.9-star average, and the Better Business Bureau has it at an A+. Most of what customers say echoes the same handful of notes: quick turnaround, a clean job site, and — in several recent reviews — a technician named Mike described as professional and clean, who explains the work as he goes. It's a deep history, 620 reviews stretching back to 2023 across four sources, and the sheer volume of short, similar five-star comments suggests a business that has been landing routine jobs consistently for years. The last six months complicate that picture. Two separate reviewers describe quotes well north of $1,000 — one puts it at $2,000 for a duct cleaning plus $1,400 for a booster fan on a two-bedroom apartment, the other calls the whole thing a scam — and both say they were never handed a signed estimate before work started. One of those reviewers also suggested the flood of five-star reviews might not be genuine; the pattern of many near-identical, adjective-heavy praise doesn't settle that either way, but it's a claim worth knowing about. Earlier reviews echo a related theme — extra charges tacked onto a routine job and a customer who walked away from a hard-sell pitch before any work began — so the pricing complaints aren't strictly a one-off. None of this is the majority experience: the last six months alone saw 24 reviews with only two negative. But the complaints that do surface aren't vague — they're specific dollar figures and a specific process gripe about not getting a quote in writing first. Get the estimate in writing before anyone touches your ducts, and ask what a standard vent or duct job runs before committing.

I imagine most of the positive reviews are bots. This company is SCAMMING. We were quoted over $2000 for an HVAC cleaning job on a 2 bed apartment and quoted $1400 to install a booster fan for our system. They also don't provide invoices to sign ahead of starting work.
