One customer bought and had installed five garage doors from D&D in a single year, after shopping quotes elsewhere. That is the shape of this Methuen shop: a small, family-run door business that people go back to. The company says it has been locally and family-owned since 1978 and runs three locations — Methuen plus East Hampstead and Fremont in New Hampshire — covering northern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and coastal Maine. It calls itself a Clopay Master Authorized Dealer and claims the manufacturer's Outstanding Sales & Service award for 30 consecutive years; both are the company's own statements. Its BBB page, filed under the address at 91A Cross Street, has it as a sole proprietorship established in 1979 with three employees, owner Richard F. Latulippe. Speed and named people carry the recent reviews. Google shows 5 stars across 12 ratings, and the nine comments read here are all five-star. Several describe an appointment the next day: one homeowner had an old opener removed, a new one installed, a damaged door repaired and sensors replaced inside about an hour. Another had a door that would only open a few inches and says a tech named Rick had it moving in under ten minutes on a low service-call fee. A father-and-son pair came out to replace cables and fit a new opener for one customer; another names Erin in the office and Mike on the install of an R-18 insulated door and a carriage house. On Reddit, a Lowell-area commenter has also recommended them for spring repair. Two things are worth knowing. The review base is genuinely thin — nine comments, essentially all on Google, and nothing negative in any of them, which is a short history to judge from. And the BBB carries no rating at all for the business, saying it lacks sufficient information; the page is also not accredited. For a snapped spring, a dead opener or a straightforward door replacement in the Merrimack Valley, this is a plausible call. Given the small crew, ask who will actually be on your job and get the quote and service-call fee in writing before they roll.

“D&D Garage Door out of Methuen. My spring snapped and I couldnt open the garage even manually. They came out the next day and fixed it for a reasonable fee. They also installed two new doors/motors at my parents house.”

These guys are great. Got an appointment for the next day. They showed up on time and in only an hour or so, they removed my old opener, installed a new one, repaired my damaged door, replaced the sensors, and adjusted everything... all at a reasonable price. Everything works great. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience from start to finish. They were able to come out the very next day, which was a huge relief. The repair technician was friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing, he had everything fixed quickly and explained the issue along the way. The team on the phone was just as helpful and easy to work with. Pricing was fair and transparent with no surprises. Overall, a smooth, stress-free experience. Highly recommend!
