Verified record
Everything customers have written about D'Alelio Construction was written a while ago: the Swampscott company's written record runs from 2008 through mid-2011 — 25 accounts on HomeAdvisor and Angi, each platform showing 4.5 stars from 68 ratings. The work in those accounts is concrete and hardscape. A May 2010 Angi reviewer described a retaining wall and stairs that drew compliments from visitors; a September 2010 customer had a patio finished with time to spare before a wedding; a May 2010 homeowner had an interior French drain put in; a May 2009 caller was after a foundation estimate and got prompt, clear numbers back. Owner Anthony D'Alelio appears by name through that stretch, usually attached to the same handful of things. Speed: a July 2011 customer who gathered several quotes said his was the best price and that he started within a week, then called to say he could come a day early. Cleanup: an October 2010 reviewer said the crew left the job cleaner than they found it. Communication: an out-of-state client in July 2011 said photos arrived as the work progressed. Two accounts from the same era run the other way, and both are worth carrying into a conversation. In a May 2010 review, a customer said the cement work cracked in various places within months of completion and that the company put it down to city road salt rather than the work itself, then patched the cracks. In November 2009, another homeowner described a string of missed appointments with no call — including one they had taken a day off work to keep. So: a fifteen-year-old paper trail, mostly favorable, with a concrete-cracking complaint and a scheduling complaint inside it, and nothing written since that speaks to how the company runs now. If they're on your list for a wall, a patio or a slab, ask for addresses of recent jobs you can go look at, confirm the current registration and insurance yourself, and — given that 2010 account — get the concrete specification and the cracking warranty in writing before anyone pours.
“Site work, emergency water & sewer repairs, all aspects of masonry construction, Heavy machinery operation, concrete flat work & forms”
The most pleasant experience i have ever had. I would highly recommend.
We were delighted with D'Alelio. We spoke with several companies and recieved quotes from several. He had the best price and was very Professional. We were in a hurry to get this project done and he was able to get to us within a week. He even called to say he could come a day earlier then scheduled if we wanted. I could not have been happier with the work they did. Very professional and polite, the job was done in a very timely manner, they were here when they said they would and were finished when they said the would be. I would hired them again & would highly recommend them to anyone who needs concrete work done.
Totally pro. Keeps up the communication during the project, sent me pictures (i'm out of state), takes credit cards. Painless process.
Got back to me in a timely manner and great follow through.
Prompt resopnse to my call .Very helpful with his advice. reccomending different solutions.sencere.
