Cityscapes Plant Care is a Boston company built around plants indoors, not yards. The company says it started in 1992 as a women-owned business and has spent more than three decades designing living walls, moss walls, and holiday plant displays for hotels and office buildings around the city, with Janice (Jan) Goodman running it as president. Its own site also lists exterior landscape design for building exteriors and public spaces, but everything else here points to a commercial, interior-facing business rather than a residential yard crew. One office client described handing Cityscapes an ongoing interior landscaping contract as a seamless takeover, and singled out a contact who stayed responsive throughout. Google currently shows 4.7 stars across 31 ratings, though the individual reviews on record skew less rosy: the most recent one, from January, said only that the reviewer was not impressed, and one from a few weeks before that complained about how a company van was being driven rather than about any plant work. Cityscapes is also named as a defendant in an active federal lawsuit an insurer filed over property damage, with no detail available here on what happened. For an office, hotel, or lobby space in Boston, the interior plantscape work described here has some real specifics behind it. For a homeowner looking for lawn care or a yard overhaul, nothing in this record shows that kind of work — worth confirming directly before assuming it's a fit.

For at least the last two weeks Cityscapes is transforming lives by double parking on Atlantic Ave creating bad and unnecessary traffic jams during morning rush hour and preventing hard working commuters from getting to work. One time is okay, but this is now a weekly theme. I’ll remove this review when I see they have stopped being so thoughtless for a few weeks in a row. Go to the shipping areas for these buildings or park legally. Update. They did it again the week of July 1st. Updated: They have not been blocking traffic since last report. Updated to 3 stars. Will update to 5 if there is no more blocking traffic for a month more.
