Christie Dustman & Company is a landscape design, installation, and garden maintenance company working out of Boston, with Christie Dustman leading a small team that includes designer Sarah Rabdau. By the company's own account, the work covers garden design, hardscape construction, Japanese-inspired gardens, and landscape lighting for homes across Boston, Brookline, Newton, Cambridge, West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Reading, and Roslindale — closer to a design-build studio than a mow-and-edge crew. The ratings are consistent everywhere they show up: a 5.0 from 13 Google ratings, the same 5.0 across 7 Houzz reviews, and a spot on a regional Top 10 landscaping list. Eleven reviews on record span 2022 through 2025 across five different sources, and the pattern behind them is close to unanimous — customers keep coming back to the design work and to gardens that hold their shape well past the first season. Houzz also lists four separate credentials for the firm: a Nationally Certified Landscape Designer, a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturalist, a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional, and an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional designation — a heavier credentialing load than most residential landscaping outfits carry. No reviewer describes a complaint or a billing dispute, which is worth noting, though it also means there isn't much to weigh against the praise. Eleven total reviews across five sources since 2022 is real, but modest, and the exact count shifts slightly by directory — seven, eleven, or thirteen depending where you look — which points to different snapshot times rather than any disagreement about the work itself. This fits a homeowner planning an actual design project — a full garden redo, a hardscape build, a Japanese-inspired corner — rather than routine mowing or seasonal cleanup. Given the modest review count, it's worth asking for a couple of recent, nearby references before committing to a larger installation.

We had the opportunity to work with Christie and her team in 2024. Carol Moyles was the lead consultant and came up with a wonderful plan that completely reshaped our entire yard. Carol’s creativity and imagination helped turn the space into something that is both visually appealing and highly functional. One year after completion of the project, my wife, kids and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

We hired Christie Dustman & Co for a major landscaping project in 2023. Our designer was Sarah Rabdau. Sarah's design was extremely creative and left us in awe. Sarah is also an absolute pleasure to work with! The finished product was spectacular! I highly recommend the company and Sarah in particular.

I have hired Christie and crew on numerous occasions for my own projects at my home. They are exceptional at every turn. Christie has an eye for detail and her crew is very easy to work with. I have also referred Christie to many clients who are also always more than pleased with the services provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Christie Dustman and Co.

We've have used Christie Dustman and Company for several landscape design and installation projects over the 12 years we have lived in Brookline. Christie's designs and choice of plants have stood the test of time. Installations from 12 years ago continue to thrive. Christie is professional as is her team and all are a pleasure to work with.
