Capillo's Clean and Green Landscaping is a one-man business on paper — a sole proprietorship BBB dates to June 2011, run by owner Guy Capillo — that shows up at jobs with a crew. Its Google page sits at 4.9 across 120 ratings, and the writing behind that number is unusually consistent: fast quotes, a start date that holds, and a property left clean. Seasonal cleanups are the backbone. Homeowners describe all-day spring cleanups on yards that hadn't been touched in two years, leaf work on properties with big oaks, aeration heading into the next season. In a November 2025 review, a customer with two heavy-dropping oaks noted the crew came the day before Thanksgiving and did the whole yard; another said Guy schedules her cleanup late on purpose because her oak holds its leaves. The more interesting half is hardscape. A July 2026 customer had a pool and shed torn out and got back a paver patio — larger than they'd first asked for, at Guy's suggestion — plus new sod and a perennial border. Another this February had patio pavers, a sitting wall and a privacy fence installed as one project. Fences come up repeatedly: an April 2026 customer called the install sturdy and the site left clean, and a January 2026 one wrote that the crew added lattice along the bottom so the dogs couldn't get out. In August 2025, a Charlestown couple said the yard other landscapers had called impossible was rebuilt in three days. What to know: everything published about this business lives on one platform. There is no directory review history to cross-check, and BBB's page shows the A+ grade with no reviews of its own. The single complaint on file is not about the work at all — a July 2025 passerby reported seeing a company truck heading up Route 1 into Topsfield with trash blowing off an uncovered load. One wrinkle worth knowing when you call: BBB lists the business as one employee, while customers consistently describe a team on site. Landscaping and fencing work don't require Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, so its absence means nothing here — but for a paver or wall project, ask for a written scope and proof of insurance, the same as you would with any hardscape crew.
