Brookwood Landscape and Stonework is a Danvers outfit built as much around stonework as lawns — patios, retaining walls, fireplaces, and fiberglass pool installs sit alongside the routine mowing and planting work. The company says it has been running since 2010, about 16 years, led by president Jason Morey, and covers Danvers and the surrounding North Shore/north-of-Boston towns. Its numbers hold up across every directory that tracks it: 4.6 stars from ten ratings on Google and 4.9 from nine on Houzz, where it also carries three Houzz Awards and ICPI certification — a paver/hardscape credential that lines up with how much of its own marketing leans on stone masonry and patio work rather than plain yard care. The Better Business Bureau lists it as an A+ accredited business, a status it has held since 2013. None of that is a large sample, though: independent review counts stay in the single or low-double digits everywhere they appear, including a couple of smaller listing sites showing just one or six reviews apiece, so the pattern reads as encouraging rather than deeply proven. Two things are worth asking about before booking. Houzz lists a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license number for the company, but that's a self-reported line on a directory page, not something checked against the state registry — and landscaping-only work is actually exempt from HIC licensing in Massachusetts, so it's unclear what that number is meant to cover. Separately, one Google review tied to this listing names a completely different company, which is a mismatch worth flagging rather than folding quietly into the star average. For a patio, retaining wall, or small pool project alongside standard landscaping, Brookwood's ratings and hardscape credentials are a reasonable starting point. Given how thin the independently verified review record still is, it's worth confirming current insurance and any applicable licensing directly and asking for references from a project similar in scope to what you're planning.

Absolutely Stunning – Our Dream Yard Brought to Life! We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Brookwood Landscape and Stonework. From start to finish, they were professional, creative, and completely dedicated to delivering high-quality work. Our entire yard has been completely transformed, and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. They installed a beautiful tiled patio and custom stone stairs that perfectly complement the layout of our home. The uplighting they added around the trees and landscaping creates a warm, inviting atmosphere in the evenings, and the gas fire pit has become our favorite gathering spot with family and friends. They carefully selected and planted a gorgeous mix of trees and flowering shrubs that add color, texture, and year-round interest. Everything was thoughtfully designed and expertly installed—no corners cut, no detail overlooked. The team was punctual, respectful, and communicative throughout the entire project. If you’re looking for a landscape company that delivers not just great work, but a total outdoor transformation, we wholeheartedly recommend Brookwood Landscape and Stonework. They brought our vision to life—and then some!

I have watched Brookwood Landscaping company mow and landscape weekly at the Popes Landing, Danvers MA. They are courteous, neat, efficient, great friendly crew. They even assisted four elder people in moving their chairs so that they could mow that area and they could stay there.. It was really nice to see and just a great job. Overall, I would fully recommend them very consistent and pleasant.!
