David Brookes runs it as president with Eric Hill as vice president, and the company has been incorporated since January 2010 — sixteen years by its BBB profile, which carries an A+ grade with no complaints filed against it. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active under the company's own name. The work runs to custom homes, additions, basement projects and full remodels, and the company says it covers Greater Boston out to the North Shore, South Shore, Cape Cod and New Hampshire. Where praise exists, it is consistent. A homeowner writing in December 2014 described a complex modern home that came in on budget and was managed tightly enough that, in their words, it "left me wanting to build another house." The other December 2014 account credits David Brookes with holding his crew to old-world craftsmanship on a Lexington house designed by Flavin Architects. A Google reviewer in January 2023 said they would not find a more honest contractor in the Boston area. That is the whole written history — four reviews across nine years. Two things are worth weighing before you call. The Google page averages 4.3 across six ratings, so some of those raters scored the company lower than its two written five-star reviews would suggest. And one of the two Houzz reviews came from Flavin Architects, the firm that designed the house, rather than from the homeowner who paid for it. This is a builder for the bespoke, architect-drawn project — a new house, a full gut, an addition — rather than a quick renovation. Ask for references from jobs finished in the last two or three years, and for the site supervisor who would actually run yours.
