Bravo Kitchens runs a showroom on Franklin Street in Melrose, and the names that keep showing up in its reviews aren't the company's — they're Nick and Marcy, the pair homeowners credit with running the design work personally. The company's own site says it's been doing kitchen and bath design in the area since 1990; its BBB listing instead dates the business (under the name Tedesco Kitchens, Inc.) to 1985, with Nicholas Bassila as owner. The two accounts don't quite agree on how long it's actually been running. The reviews that exist are specific about the same thing: hands-on design guidance. In March, one homeowner credited Nick and Marcy with a 'perfect design' and called them professional, reliable, and easy to reach throughout the job. A January review goes further, describing them as treating clients 'like old friends' — checking in and visiting the job site to keep things on track. A similar account turns up independently on renovationsup.com, where a homeowner describes finding Nick through a contractor and being pleased with a full kitchen redo. The volume behind that praise is genuinely thin. Only four written reviews turn up across every source checked, and Houzz shows zero. Google's own star average is a perfect 5, but from just 5 ratings. None of that is a red flag by itself, but it means the public record here is short, not deep — and Bravo Kitchens' BBB profile notes plainly that it is not a BBB Accredited Business. For a homeowner after a design-led kitchen redo with a showroom to walk through and name-brand cabinet lines to compare (Kemper, Decora, MasterBrand, and others), the reviews point to Nick and Marcy staying closely involved from design through installation. Worth asking directly how long they've actually been in business given the founding-date mismatch, and asking for a couple of recent references — the public review count here is too small to lean on alone.

I cannot say enough good things about Nick and Marcy at Bravo Kitchens. My husband and I are so glad we worked with them on our kitchen renovation a couple years ago. Nick and Marcy go above and beyond to help bring your dream renovation to fruition. They are great at listening and getting a strong understanding of what you are looking for, and will bring ideas to the table as well as sit with you and brainstorm other possibilities. They treat their clients like old friends, check in frequently, and visit the job site to make sure everything is going smoothly. They do way more than just kitchens. We were so happy with our kitchen plans that I expanded the project mid-reno to include built-in bookshelves in our dining room. Since then, I have also done renovations to a couple bedrooms and got beautiful built-in closet systems through Bravo Kitchens. They even connected us with an amazing contractor to do the project. If you are planning any type of renovation involving any cabinetry, I recommend Bravo Kitchens a thousand times over!

Bravo Kitchens designed our dream kitchen, and it is absolutely perfect! It’s exactly what we wanted… functional, beautiful, and so well thought out. Nick and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Nick's elegant layout has completely transformed a previously awkward and cramped kitchen to a space that works beautifully for our family (with very little added to the total square footage). He approached the project thoughtfully and was responsive to our questions and concerns. Highly recommend!
