Blue Skies Carpentry LLC is a small, partner-run outfit in Wakefield built on repeat-customer trim and finish work — the kind of job where someone calls back for a storm door, then a deck repair, then new window sills, because the last three went well. Paulo DeSouza and Joao run it together, and the company's own account traces back to 2020, when it started as a small woodworking workshop before growing into a fuller residential and commercial construction operation. By its own description, that now spans renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, basement finishing, decks, roofing and siding, and door and window replacement, across the Greater Boston area, Maine, and New Hampshire. The clearest recent read comes from a customer who's called on them repeatedly this year — door installation, a storm door, deck repairs, and window trim and sill replacements, all handled by the same crew, described as hard-working, honest, and reasonable on price, with "no job too small." That kind of repeat business is hard to fake, and it echoes a slightly older run of five-star reviews describing the same responsive, thorough follow-through on other renovation work. Everything on record for Blue Skies reads five stars — Google shows 5.0 across 9 ratings — but the volume behind it is still modest: eight written reviews spanning about two years, concentrated on Google with the same handful of quotes echoed across a few business directories. Consistent so far, just not yet a deep history. One thing worth asking about directly: a BuildZoom profile last touched in 2016 shows no license on file. That's an old, unofficial snapshot rather than a current registry check, but it's reason enough to confirm current licensing and insurance yourself before signing on for anything sizable. For trim, doors, windows, decks, and smaller renovation work around Wakefield and the North Shore, the story so far points to a responsive, hands-on small crew — just verify their license status and get a written scope before a bigger job.

I have used Blue skies carpentry several times for my home repairs, ranging from door installation, storm door installation, deck repairs and window trim & sill replacements. Paulo and his team is hard working, honest and reasonable in pricing. No work is small for him and he is always happy to help people. I recommend him for all the house needs and wish him best always.

Highly recommend working with Paulo and Blue Skies Carpentry. They responded quickly to my request, answered all my questions (which was great, as I’m a nervous new homeowner) and most importantly the work was thorough and excellent quality. Will absolutely be hiring them again for future projects.

Blue Skies was a perfect fit for my home renovation project in a downtown Boston brownstone. They handled paint, hardwood floors, door and window replacements and offered really thoughtful suggestions about small changes. They were incredibly responsive and fast, and highly cost effective. I’ve recommended them to several friends already!

We used Blue Skies to replace a picture window and two side windows in our living room. Paulo was communicative and easy to work with, and his crew was great as well. They did great work! We’ll definitely be calling him for more projects - highly recommend!
