Arch Painting calls itself the nation's leading commercial paint contractor, and its Boston headquarters backs that up with a client list that runs from national accounts down to single-family homes handled under its Paintzen residential arm. The company doesn't give an exact founding year for the Arch Painting name itself, though it says its residential side carries 'nearly three decades of experience.' The numbers behind it have real depth: 129 ratings on Angi averaging 4.6, and 44 on Best Pick Reports averaging 4.5, a history both directories have tracked for years, not months. The Better Business Bureau lists it as A+ and accredited since 2014. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (HIC 154169) checks out active against the state registry, and it carries EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm and Massachusetts Lead-Safe Renovation Contractor status — credentials that matter on an older home with paint that might contain lead. The most recent word, an Angi review from June 2026, is a fair proxy for day-to-day execution: a prompt quote, a start scheduled a few weeks out, and a crew that left matching paint behind in case touch-ups were needed. Two things are worth asking about before signing anything. Angi's broader history flags a recurring theme around post-job follow-through — reviews mention a broken fixture and uncaulked trim that were never revisited. Best Pick Reports separately notes a handful of complaints about slow follow-up on an exterior job that started peeling, plus carpentry work that didn't hold up to the same standard as the paint itself. For a straightforward paint job, especially anything commercial or on a tight schedule, the credentials and review volume here are hard to match locally. Get specifics in writing on the punch-list process — who comes back, and how soon, if something's missed on the final walkthrough.

Timely quote given. Project scheduled a few weeks later. Unfortunately will require some touch up painting but they left matching paint thankfully, otherwise would have been higher rating.

Start to finish, excellent service and value delivered. Crew & team were extremely professional, great communicators, always went the extra step to ensure the project was done exactly as it was requested.

Arch did an excellent job. Couldn't be happier.

Work was performed exactly as discussed and agreed to (match existing paint colors) at estimated cost. Start was delayed due to weather with no complaints; once a good window occurred, the work was performed quickly with no impact on us. We were totally satisfied with the quality of the work.
