Anthony Tree Services & Landscaping, in Lynn, Massachusetts, carries a Google rating of 5.0 across 100 ratings — and nearly every one of them describes the same scene: a tree coming down safely in someone's yard. The company says it was founded by Anthony Lopez, described on its own site as a Guatemalan national, almost two decades ago, and now runs a five-person crew that includes ISA-certified arborists. That held up this spring and summer. One customer had a four-person crew show up the day after a competitive quote to fell and clear a tree; another's 60-foot oak was fully removed within two days of the first call. A third had the crew switch mid-job from a bucket truck to hand-felling to avoid driving equipment over a septic system, finishing the removal, breakdown, and yard cleanup inside an hour. The last sixteen reviews, dating back to January, are all five stars, and the same specifics keep recurring: crews that show up when they say they will, prices that beat competing quotes, climbers who don't need a crane in a tight yard, and cleanup thorough enough that customers stop noticing a tree was ever there. Repeat business runs through the fuller history too — several reviewers mention this being their second, third, or even fifth time calling them back over the years. Worth asking about before booking: the company's own site lists its service area inconsistently, naming both the North Shore towns right around Lynn — Saugus, Swampscott, Revere — and, separately, a cluster of suburbs more than 20 miles west, from Newton to Lexington. Confirm they actually cover your town. It's also worth being clear-eyed that this is fundamentally a tree crew — the landscaping and fencing mentioned on the site and in a handful of reviews (grass seeding, shrub and ornamental pruning, fence installation) are real but a much smaller share of what they're actually known for. For a tree that needs to come down safely, especially a tricky one near a house, a fence line, or overhead wires, the record here is deep and consistently positive. If the job is landscape design or fence work rather than tree removal, ask to see photos of that specific kind of project before booking.

I used Anthony Tree Service today to remove a large tree and trim several others. They did a fantastic job. The crew was incredibly professional, polite and worked hard from start to finish. Carlos was very responsive throughout the entire process, and their pricing was highly reasonable compared to others. They did a great cleanup. I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them again.

The team did a phenomenal job! They were friendly, and went above (excuse the pun) and beyond. Highly recommend them.

Gave me a fair price. Did the job as promised on time, no fuss. All very friendly guys. I will use again.

Carlos was flexible around scheduling the free estimate, listened to what I wanted done, didn't try to upsell me, quoted a competitive price, and had a 4 person crew perform the work the next day. He called to tell me when they'd arrive. After introducing themselves and reviewing the project scope, they got right to work. They're young, agile, careful and safety-minded. The area was thoroughly cleaned-up before leaving. I'm very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to use Anthony Tree Services again.

I didn’t find them, they found me. I had called another service who had quoted me larger price at a later time. Anthony’s tree service showed up 3 weeks earlier than the other place and for a far more reasonable price. Lastly, when they showed up, full tree felling, breakdown, and yard clean up all within an hour. Fantastic work, and they were able to pivot from a bucket job removal to a felling job to accommodate my septic system by not driving a heavy vehicle over it. If needed, would call immediately.
