Andrew Thomas & Sons Landscaping has run out of the same stretch of Randolph Avenue in Milton since 1948, which puts it among the more established landscape operations on the South Shore. It's a family business: the company says current owner Bunny Thomas took over from his father in 1975 and, in 1997, added a full-service garden center to the original nursery. It now fields three landscaping crews and two masonry teams, splitting its work between design-and-install landscaping jobs and a retail nursery selling plants, trees, and hardscape materials. On Google it holds a 4.7 out of 5 across 40 ratings, and outside directories echo the same pattern — write-ups on Consumers' Checkbook and Birdeye describe repeat customers calling the crew knowledgeable, professional, and good to work with, whether the job is residential or commercial. It's also a BBB-accredited business with an A+ rating, a status it has held since 1998. A strong Google average, consistent third-party mentions, and a decades-long BBB record together point to a genuinely long, steady track record rather than a short run of good luck. One recurring theme worth knowing about is nursery pricing: a few customers shopping the retail garden center for plants and pots have felt the prices run higher than other nurseries or big-box competitors. That's a comment about the retail side of the business, not the quality of installed landscaping work, but it's worth a quick price check if you're sourcing plants or materials through them. For a full landscape build — design, installation, hardscaping, or masonry — the long in-house history and clean BBB record are the reassuring parts of the picture. If the job is mainly buying stock from the nursery, comparing a price or two elsewhere first is a reasonable step; for a design-and-install project, the decades of local operation carry more weight than any single price comparison.

Overpriced for smaller pots of perennials, easily more expensive than other nurseries and probably twice as expensive as Home Depot…selection is just ok. They did seem to have a bigger selection of trees but I went for perennials. Unfortunately I didn’t get anything because I feel like they were overpriced.
