All Matters Construction runs out of Medford and handles full-scope remodeling — the kind of job where one crew coordinates framing, electrical, drywall, and finish work rather than a single trade dropping in for a repair. Its own site says the business is owner-run by Claudio Araujo with about fifteen years in the trade, though the corporation itself, per BBB, was only registered in Massachusetts in December 2021. The clearest recent example on file is a third-floor attic taken down to the studs this past winter — new electrical, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry — with the homeowner calling the crew communicative and the site kept clean throughout the job. That's consistent with the broader pattern across 74 reviews dating back to 2022 and spanning six platforms: full room renovations (kitchens, basements, additions, porches) rather than one-off repairs, and a Google average that holds at 4.8 stars across 87 ratings. The one recent complaint worth knowing: a January customer says three separate follow-up visits still didn't close out a short punch list — a torn window screen, a closet-door magnet, a few cracks in the grout. Small items, and the reviewer says the underlying project itself turned out well, but it's a real gap in how the last mile of a job gets closed out. Two things worth asking before signing a contract. First, get a written punch-list and sign-off process up front — the complaint above suggests that's where this company can lose track of the small stuff. Second, clarify which "years in business" figure applies: the fifteen years on the website likely reflects the owner's own background in the trade, while the registered Massachusetts entity is newer, according to BBB, which lists it as A+ accredited. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (#204089) is active and verified directly with the state registry. This looks like a reasonable call for a homeowner planning a real renovation — a kitchen gut, an addition, a multi-trade project — rather than someone who just needs a quick single-trade fix. Get the completion checklist in writing before the final payment goes out.

All Matters did a moderately sized job for me (3rd floor attic space down to studs, then electrical, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry; no plumbing). Crews were professional and kept the space clean, and the end result is fantastic. Very communicative and great to work with.

Would have been more than happy to give 5 stars but they never completed the few small remaining punchlist items even after sending staff to review (on 3 occasions) what these items were; torn window screen, magnet for closet door, cracks in grout, etc. Simple little things. I was also told that I was to put in excess of 100 lbs of roofing materials into my basement that had been left on my lawn for months, and I am a woman in my 60's The actual project turned out well though.

All Matters just completed a kitchen renovation for us and they did a great job. John and Allison were great and very helpful and knowledgeable. There were able to open our kitchen space by removing a wall and installing a beam, install new hardwood flooring to seamlessly match existing floors, and install cabinets, tile backsplash, recessed and pendant lighting, appliances, and more. We are very happy with the outcome and that has really transformed our kitchen hugely in just a few weeks.

We had an amazing experience with the All Matters team which has been the case across the three projects that we have done with them over the years. The latest project in our basement has completely changed the space for the better. Everything was done in an incredibly professional way, from the project management down to the execution. We look forward to working with them again on future projects and recommend them to anyone else looking for a great company to complete a construction project!
