Able Pest Control Service is a Brockton pest control shop that's stayed in the same hands since 1987, now run as a partnership headed by Joe Giammatteo. The company says it covers Brockton, Dorchester, Quincy, Braintree, Plymouth, and New Bedford, and belongs to both the National Pest Management Association and the New England Pest Management Association. Its Google page reads well overall — 4.8 out of 5 across 38 ratings, built on a review history that stretches back to 2021 across four different sources. A March review describes years of repeat business for ant and bee problems and credits technician Mike by name, the kind of multi-year relationship that suggests the work holds up. A May review calls the technician professional and says he knows his stuff, though without much detail beyond that. The thing worth asking about directly: a February 2026 review describes a technician who, instead of sealing a mouse entry point, covered it with a sticky pad and said mice usually avoid it — the customer wasn't satisfied and said the pests kept coming back. That's the only negative note among the three reviews posted in the last six months, but it's specific and recent, so it's worth confirming upfront exactly how they handle sealing versus deterrence for a rodent job. BBB lists the business at an A+ rating, though it isn't a BBB Accredited Business. For routine ant, bee, and general pest calls the history leans solidly positive across a long track record; for a rodent-specific problem, ask what sealing method they'll use before booking.

The guy is super lazy he didn’t seal the holes he literally used a sticky pad over the hole. Said we can seal the hole if we want… he said mice usually won’t go if it’s sticky. They literally bite through anything. I don’t recommend this place at all. Also I read some reiviewsnsaying they’ve been with this company for 3/4 years and that they’re amazing…. If they haven’t resolved your issue in those years they’re no good. Honestly just seal the holes yourself I’m so disappointed I couldn’t just done it myself.

We’ve used Able Peat twice in the past 3-4 years. They did a great job the first time, but our kitchen remodel invited critters in again and we had to call Able for a 2nd time. Ryan, the technician, is extremely thorough, both inside and outside. They have a 6 month guarantee, which we did use the 1st time- and after that we were pest free! Able Pest returned my call quickly, and Ryan is courteous, friendly and professional. I hope I don’t need them again, because that means we have pests- but I am happy to recommend!
