Rip out the old asphalt, build a proper base, lay two layers, be gone inside a few days — that is the job customers described again and again between 2020 and 2022, one of them writing in September 2020 that the crew worked like a well-oiled machine and finished ahead of the estimate. The company runs out of Rowley as a family business. Its Better Business Bureau page lists Glen Pyburn as president, three employees, and a corporation incorporated in 1981, filed under utility contractors and carrying an A+ grade; the company's own listing copy dates the business to 1954. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0 across 11 ratings, though the two profiles carry the same reviews rather than two independent sets. There is a side of this business most homeowners never see. Public agencies hire Pyburn for underground leak detection: the MWRA voted to award it a community leak detection survey contract, New Hampshire's Executive Council approved a $117,600 contract for surveys at 39 community water systems, and a North Reading survey report credits the work with locating 38 leaks, estimated at 49 to 108 gallons per minute. The residential work runs wider than paving. And the written customer history is dated: the newest account on either directory is from July 2022, so ask for references from jobs finished in the last year or two. For a driveway rebuild, a gravel drive, grading and site work, or a sewer and drainage tie-in on the North Shore, this is a small, long-established outfit with genuine municipal credentials behind it. Get the scope and the base build-up in writing, and ask about the 2023 safety citation while you are at it.

Hired Luke Pyburn of Arthur Pyburn & Sons to tie into Amesbury city sewer and water service as well as rough cut a driveway entrance. Luke was always easy to communicate with, gave me a plan which his team (Luke, Josh, and Sean) executed on schedule and did a high quality job with attention to detail. Everyone worked hard and well together despite the 90+ degree hot weather. Final cleanup and temporary patching of street pavement and sidewalk was on point too. Highly recommend Luke, Josh, and Sean of Arthur Pyburn & Sons!

These guys were amazing...From getting a reasonable quote with knowledgeable advice to the installation and cleanup. The crew worked like a well oiled machine and completed the job in less time then anticipate. They answered my zillion emails of questions, they were polite and kind to my kids while they watched.... I can't say enough about them. Great company. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them highly to anyone considering a paving project.
